Irpinia Kitchens goes full water base

April 16, 2010

Irpinia utilizes new Water-Based Finishing System

Our newly implemented “Water-Based Finishing System” which utilizes Water-Based Stains, Glazes, Sealer and Top Coats, from the first step to the last step is a true water-based finish. This provides Irpinia Kitchens the ability to “Go Green” without compromising finishing quality or durability. We selected the best attributes from our existing technologies and adapted them into our complete Water-Based Finishing System.  Our new Water-Based Finishing System meets or exceeds future regulatory requirements, thus providing tomorrow’s answers today.

This latest generation of conventional Water-Based Top Coating is the Aqualux Roc.  The coating is a revolutionary high solids water-based top coating based on a proprietary modified acrylic resin. The water-based top coating supplies clarity and hardness comparable to that of traditional “solvent-based” coatings while greatly reducing VOC content and environmental impact.  In addition to the outstanding light stability of the acrylic backbone, Aqualux Roc contains UV absorbers to protect the underlying stain and wood substrate.
